Using the app
The foil keeps healing when I scratch.
That’s by design: a card only opens after one unbroken drag clears 60% of the foil. Keep your finger down until the bar fills. If you lift early, the foil heals and you can simply try again.
Why can’t I scratch another card?
You can have one active date at a time. Finish it with “We did it!” or spend a joker to skip it, and the rest of the deck opens up again.
Why can’t I tap “We did it!” yet?
It unlocks five minutes after you scratch the card, so the date gets a real chance to happen first.
Do we both need the app?
No. Everything runs on one phone. There is no account, no pairing and no sync between phones, so choose the phone that will hold your deck and scratch together.
When does the golden card open?
When every other card in your deck is cleared, meaning completed or skipped with a joker.
Scratchy+ & purchases
What does Scratchy+ include?
No ads, photos in your scrapbook, custom surprise cards, and two jokers every month instead of one in total. You can subscribe monthly or yearly; the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
What is the Spicy pack?
30 extra after-dark cards for adults (18+). It is a one-time purchase, separate from Scratchy+, and it adds a Spicy filter to your deck.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Scratchy+ from Settings and tap Restore. Make sure your phone is signed in with the same Apple Account or Google Play account you bought with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or your order history in Google Play for Android.
Your data
Where is our data stored?
Only on your phone. Scratchy Moments has no account and no server of its own: your deck, notes, photos and places are saved in the app’s private storage on the device.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Start over → Wipe & replay onboarding deletes your profile, the deck, every memory and the saved photos. Uninstalling the app removes everything too. Since nothing is stored on our side, there is no account to delete.
What happens if I get a new phone?
We cannot restore your data because we never have it. It can move with your phone’s own backup (iCloud or a computer backup on iPhone, device backup on Android). Purchases can always be restored from the store.
Why does the app ask for my location?
For two things only, and only when you use them: “Near you” place ideas for a card, and pinning a finished date on your scrapbook map. It uses approximate location, and you can say no.
I stopped getting reminders.
Check that notifications are allowed for Scratchy Moments in your phone settings, and that date reminders are switched on in the app’s Settings.
